Details: We will be traveling to Mirador National Park, Peten, Guatemala to explore the Heart of the Maya Biosphere Reserve. The program will be led by Dr. Richard Hansen, President of the Foundation for Anthropological Research and Environmental Studies (FARES) and Francisco Asturias, Director of Mirador National Park. The itinerary includes two nights in Mirador National Park and an optional visit to Tikal National Park.
Just beforehand, we are planning a three-day Tikal Summit for National Leaders in Park Protection of Latin America in Peten, Guatemala. This intensive workshop will train conservation leaders on key challenges facing parks and wildlife in Latin America, showing examples of success and best practices in the region.
