Robert Baigrie is Vice President for Strategic Partnerships at Wildlife Conservation Network (WCN), building relationships that are able to generate transformational support for the organization’s highest priority initiatives. As a member of WCN’s senior leadership team, he works closely with the President and CEO across business and conservation pillars, with an immediate focus on the Africa Keystone Fund.
Prior to WCN, Robert spent 11 years at Conservation International. During that time, he was Global Head of Climate Finance, guiding CI’s various efforts to use blended finance in support of their ambitious climate goals. Previously, while based in Singapore, Robert was CI’s Head of Developed Markets for Asia Pacific, managing the Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and Australia country programs. After 15 years in alternative asset management and before shifting his focus to environmental conservation, Robert was Head of Capital Consulting Services for Citibank in the Asia Pacific.
Robert grew up in Cape Town, South Africa, and has lived for long periods in each of Europe, Asia, and the USA. Robert studied Economics and is a CFA charter holder. He enjoys sports and being close to nature and is currently living in Monterey, California.
