Cambodia: The use of camera traps set up by rangers has revealed new tiger families. Here, a mother and her two cubs are seen with prey. Supported by GC, a new Tiger Reintroduction Center has helped raise the population of tigers.
GC Executive Director Jeff Morgan signs a multi-year agreement with the Ministry of Environment (MiaAmbiente) of Panama to strengthen conservation and stop illegal activities, such as logging and mining, within the country’s largest national parks.
Yayasan Laut Biru Kepulauan Derawan (YLBKD), in collaboration with Global Conservation (GC), continued to strengthen marine protection in the Derawan Archipelago through support for patrol operations, the deployment of M2 monitoring technology, capacity building for law enforcement, and initiatives focused on community empowerment and applied research.
