GC Executive Director Jeff Morgan Featured in 2024 Northern California’s Haute 100

Jeff Morgan presented recently in May, 2024 at the Filoli Estate for Global Conservation’s: An Evening with ABC News Correspondent Bob Woodruff

Recently, Executive Director Jeff Morgan was featured in Haute’s 100 for his unwavering commitment and tenacity for working to save natural ecosystems globally. Jeff often finds his feet on soil deep into remote wild lands to meet with local communities and asses the potential for protecting National Parks and UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

“In 2016 Jeff Morgan founded Global Conservation. This U.S.-based 501(c)(3) non-governmental organization works closely with local communities and indigenous leaders, using a highly effective and scalable program – Global Park Defense.  Global Park Defense combines systems, technology and training with direct, audited funding to endangered national parks. Unlike large inefficient NGOs and government-to-government funding with corruption and bureaucracy, Global Conservation provides national parks with incremental funding to supply the rangers and technologies necessary to genuinely protect these biodiverse havens.”

Jeff works with ProtectedSeas to obtain M2/M3 Radars for marine protection in GC project areas. Global Conservation itself is expanding the amount of marine protection-related projects, which currently numbers at 10.

“The fund’s work in the Leuser Ecosystem, for example, is perhaps the only viable way to protect endangered species like the orangutan against mass extinction, biodiversity that is integral to abate global temperature rising. Global Conservation is raising $100 million over the next 10 years to protect more than 100 of the most endangered national parks in developing countries. Combining its signature Global Park Defense systems, Community and Marine Protection, Global Conservation has helped protect more than 25 endangered national parks covering nearly 12 million acres of intact forests and wildlife habitats.”

-HUATE LIVING

Never shy, Jeff visits rangers in the field who put their lives on the line to protect natural ecosystems from being poached. GC’s main initiative, Global Park Defense, would not work without them.
