Programme for Belize received a $150,000 grant from Global Conservation to support the protection of the Greater Belize Maya Forest, which totals almost 10% of Belize’s total land area. The grant supports five rangers, who will patrol the Greater Belize Maya Forest in order to prevent and reduce illegal activities that threaten the biodiversity and environmental services of this region.

Global Conservation Delivers Ranger Gear for Long-Distance Mountain Patrolling
Borjomi National Park in the Republic of Georgia has miles of mountains to patrol in all seasons against illegal hunters and logging in the national park.

The first long-distance patrolling kits arrived this week after three months of Corona-19 lockdown in the Republic of Georgia.
