In May of 2023, Global Conservation is invited by the Government of Peru to assist in deploying Global Park Defense in two critical areas facing deforestation in Otishi National Park and Asháninka Communal Reserve covering over half a million hectacres in the Amazon region of Peru.

In January, Global Conservation undertook two missions to GC Projects – DaMaI World Heritage Park in Sabah Borneo, Malaysia and Leuser Ecosystem, Aceh Sumatra, Indonesia.
Goals of these missions included:
- Meeting with Government and NGO Partners
- Review of 2017 Progress and 2018 Planning
- Travel with Major Donors to GC Projects
- Investigate Illegal Activities – Logging, Land Clearing, Wildlife Poaching and Hunting
- Deploy Global Park Defense Systems – Setup Command Centers, Cellular Trailcams, Global Forest Watch Satellite Monitoring, SMART Ranger Patrols, UAV Drone Overflights
