We deeply condemn Russian President Vladimir Putin's unprovoked violence against the people of Ukraine. There is no place for such aggression against a sovereign country, including the murder of innocent civilians, in our modern world.
Global Conservation has been working with the Ukraine since 2018 to help protect Carpathian National Nature Park, an astonishingly wild and beautiful part of Europe. Now, over 3,000 park rangers (28 from CNNP) have taken up arms to help protect their country, and 50 park vehicles are being used in Ukraine's defense.
To continue protecting the Carpathians, we must first save Ukraine and protect their right to exist as a sovereign country. Effective conservation relies on political stability and peace, values that Global Conservation will continue to support at every turn.
We stand with the people of Ukraine.
